A big congratulations to all those who achieved there riding road safety badges in the half term.

after alot of hard work with studying and there practicals they all did very well and showed a firm knowledge and understanding.
seven of them then went on to sit there pony club riding road safety exam with a qualified bhs examiner, and i am pleased to announce after many hours on the Monday in the freezing cold and the rain we had a much brighter day on the Thursday and all the children that passed did the club proud. So a big well done to

Also a big thank you to Lisa for all the help and support she gave the children over many Thursday evenings and also the days in the half term anyone that knows Lisa will understand how thorough she is when preparing for exams and how much of her own time she gave in ensuring they where completely prepared so a big thanks for that. Also thank you to Gillian chambers who kindly gave up her Thursday morning to assist in the exam.
All these children will now be working hard towards there c tests in the spring.

Anyone who didn't get the opportunity to sit the exam in half term will be pleased to know that we are lookng to do the next riding road safety exam in December, so keep your eye on the website for more information.

Each month we will aim towards a set badge give out information and where needed or offer training then on the first Thursday of every month we will test in the pony club field.

This month to get everyone started we are working towards the (handling and grooming badge) you are advised to read up on your grooming equipment how to tie a pony up safely and run a pony up in hand. Remember some of the instructors are very strict so its important to know your stuff. For information the manual of horsemanship is a great source chapter 13 page 118-128
and chapter 19 page 199-210.
