See below for a guide to the terminology and height of fences at each PC eventing level.

Note there is some variance in level description and height, dependent on the competition and venue, so please study schedules carefully.

Show jumps are usually to the maximum height for the level and XC slightly lower and they are both measured in metres not feet:

Mini/Levels 1 & 2

Level 1 - 0.60 m - 0.65 m (2’0” approx)

Level 2 - 0.75 m - 0.80 m (2’3” – 2’7” max)

Novice/ Level 3 – 0.85 m – 0.95 m (2’9” – 3’1” max)

Intermediate/Level 4 – 0.95 m - 1.05 m (3’1” - 3’5” max)

Open/Level 5 – 1.10 m – 1.15 m (3’6” - 3’9” max)

Please do keep a record of your training and achievements in eventing this year and let Karen and I know how you are doing.

Any queries, just give us a shout!
